hey i have a '75 ke30 with a 5k and 4spd box. i am putting a rb30 in it and was wonering if anyone can help me out.

i have heard that it bolts up to the original engine mounts,is it a hard conversion.

Will be harder than putting a 4age in,

I'm not sure if the original mounts can be used but you will need a bigger trans tunnel & cut firewall to fit it as far back as possible.

I'm fitting an auto 1jz setup in mine and it will be sitting as far back as it can.

know a guy with an rb20 in his and it was butchered to fit it all in, fmic replaced the grille etc..

yeah you probs would have to cut the firewall and set it back as far as possible to make it handle semi alrite

 

so yeah fairly hard, unless u know what ur doing

I'm no expert at doing engine conversions, i am about to venture in to the experience myself with my AE71 and I'm only putting a 4AGZE in it and that's going to be crazy for me, but enough about that, i once was speaking to a guy who had managed to fit on into a Ke20 so there is some hope and inspiration bit of a job apparently time for the old chop chop :jamie:

big hole in fire wall is the only solution. dosent exactly blot straight up bit of customising needed. not to sure what the engine bay is like in the 30 i did a ke70

I am currently doing this exact conversion into my KE30 shell. the car will be race only (drag) and is having the fire wall notched back to make space, there is no other way really. i will post up some pics once the engin and box are in the bay.
