ke71-rolla
Hey just wondering if anyone out there has ever swapped a 1600 2t engine into a ke70 (4k engine), if so what new parts were needed, did it fit well?, Ive been told a t50 gearbox goes with the 16002t(different spline's??). Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. thanks
parrot
Yes, its called a TE71 or a TE72. The TE72 is a T18 in Australian speak. TE71 didn't come here. That should give you something to start searching.
TE278U
yep, done it. if you want to do it, you'll need to put mounts for rack and pinion onto a t-18 x-member, then it is bolt in. just need to fiddle with some wiring, and use t-18 radiator. make it worthwhile, and use a 3t (1800) for more torque. (even better go twin cam head too.)
