Hi all

My brother crashed my corolla. Not very bad at all, but enough to be annoying.

Luckily the 4WD he hit ran for it, it technically was the 4WDs fault, but it looks simply like my bro had run up the arse of it.

What happened: Two streams of traffic going the one way, my bro in the faster stream (of course) and a Maroon Honda CR-V in the slow lane. Maroon CR-V pulls out into bro's lane, bro hits the clutch and the brakes, bang. Nose of the KE55 into the spare wheel cover of the CR-V. CR-V bolts it, bro just pulls off the side of the road.

Basically, he would need full details of the driver of the CR-V and a witness before it wouldn't look like he was in the wrong. Poor boy, just turned 17 and had his licence for a month.

I said to him that because these three things are true I'm not real upset:

1. It didn't cost him any big dorrah

2. He didn't hurt himself

3. The corollie ain't real bent, just buckled the bonnet a tiny bit.

I'm a taxi mechanic's hand for Yellow Cabs, so i know a little about panelbeating :moon: and so i had a go and got it cosmetically pretty good. You can hardly notice.

One problem though: The bonnet is still a little structurally bent, and there's a bit of paint off, about the size of a business card.

So here's my questions:

1. Is it possible to get another KE55 bonnet somewhere for cheap that's already KE55 Canary Yellow?

2. Or is there some place that will sell me KE55 Canary Yellow paint?

Oh and on a side note

3. Where can i get an accellerator cable from?

1. Yes i thought of that too

2. Really? Cool.

3. Okay

I can't believe they did a runner...what the hell is this world going to

Alot of people who hit other people these days do a runner. Unless its a new car, people scram.

It would suck to have those fools turn around in a week and dob him in or something  not a good situation to be in

Yes but people who drive 4WDs are braindead, foolish and the scum of the road.

I doubt it. Although i do have a very easy to remember numberplate.

The numberplate was issued in about 1992/1993, standard numberplate, and its lettering is of a womens piece of underwear.

I call them my personalised plates :moon:

92, it should start I think with a E or an F... Correct?

(Only know this as my 90 Commodore was EGH289)

Erm no

In QUEENSLAND we have three numbers followed by three letters.

92 E or F? Nope. E is late 1996/1997 and F is 1998/1999
