i thought you said you read the how to make a tough 4k? then you would know what you spend your dosh on.....

assuming your 4k is stock as a rock

5speed - 200 (buy from forums)

extractors -200 (buy from forums)

1.75-2" exhaust- 200 (either buy from forums, or get one made up by a shop)

upgraded carby:-

a rejetted nikki carby wil make it flow beter, cheap to, allow $150 assuming you can self install.

cam regrind can be had for cheap, $150 or so assuming you can self install.

or if you want to spend more, find a webber and adaptor plate, could cost 400-500, depends what bargains you can find.

or go all out and get some twin delorators (spelling?) but that will cost alot..and not much good without exhaust/cam etc

Carby/s, exhaust, cam.. In that order.

Carby is a difficult one to price. If you're lucky some people will give them to you or sell for under $100, but

if you're looking for a rebuilt or one off eBay you'll probably pay upwards of $150-$200 for a 32/36 weber or similar.

then the adapter plate you're looking at $25-$50. All up $100-350

Exhaust looking at quite a bit if you aren't going to do any yourself. Extractors (new) cost about $250-$300

or $100+ second hand. Then you'll need to spend atleast $300 on a 2" exhaust.. All up $450-650

I've never had a cam reground or changed in my car but I've read it's about $80-$150 for a regrind from Tighe Cams,

Crowe Cams etc. Tighe 104 is supposed to be a good grind (as said in "How to build a tough K motor"). That is if you

remove/install the cam yourself. I have no idea of the cost of the mechanic work but probably not too cheap!

Good luck

Thanks heaps mate i was thinking carb and exhaust just was unsure of what size carb and exhaust.

The how to build had comflincting (in my eyes) opinion and carb 32/36 being most common but then 26/32 being more prefered??

Yeah think i leave cams for a while this is my daily so need it on a day to day basis.

Thanks heaps all
