Werty_1987 Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 hey. I have a KE55 Coupe, KE20 2 Door Sedan and a TA22. My favorite would be the 55 coupe. Very light and good on fuel. but hard to find one without rust. I paid 300 for my TA22 and it is riddles with rust and missing parts, runs like a pig. but parts are obtainable at Toymods.com. The best place for TA22 parts that i know of. The KE20 is the lightest at around 820 kg. The KE55 Is around 850 - 900 kg. The TA22 is around 920 - 980 kg. KE20 1200cc, KE55 1300cc, TA22 1600cc. Because of the different engine displacement and power, the power to weight ratio would probably be around the same for KE20, KE55 and TA22. As for handling it really depends on how new or old the suspension set-up is. The TA22 Rear end is better, but whats to stop you fitting the rear to a KE55. Cheers Werty Quote
Hiro Protagonist Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 The TA22 Rear end is better, but whats to stop you fitting the rear to a KE55. A fair bit, really. If it was easy and cheap it would have been done plenty of times already, and to my knowledge it hasn't. Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 My opinion is go the ta22! Coil rear end definately has way more potential to handle. Having driven and worked on both though, the ta22 is so much less of a coke can. When you shut the doors they shut solid, the panels in general are made of thicker steel, and the car is of more solid construction all over. Not to mention a better diff, more attractive shape, potential for a larger engine by law, ect. The only down side is the extra kgs you have to carry around. ..........and yes i know my car is a ke30. Quote
