I hav the wires with two plugs on them but the plugs hav been cut off and the other two wires from the front of the gearbox in that pic where do they come from?

Thats were Altezzeclub has put his connections to the switch for the reverse lights from the gearbox, instead of using the plug in loom in the engine bay as in the thread.

Actually between Crostek & I we found that there are several variations on the wiring..

 

Add some length to the wires from the gearbox reverse light switch so they reach the gearlever, then join them to the red pair in the auto system. The black pair in the auto loomb you just join together so you can start it again.

 

The last coloured ones by the gearlever carry power when you turn the headlights on.

 

the red pair are the reverse lights and the black pair are the "park" lock. The other pair are for the light inside the auto lever at night. ..use them for your incar floros..

as above there are varies engine looms in the all varies year KE70, and if you are lucky your engine loom has the right wires in it to make the manual gearbox connection work,

don't spose you know what years would they would be by any chance. or what about the ae71 same deal

Mine's Nov '83 and I had to run extra wires.
