i know u are going to laugh but ive looked thousand of pics of engine bays but were does the rubber hose go that comes of the distributor advance thing i think it is and does it need to be connected ??

If it isn't connected you will have no vacuum advance.

 

Should be a vacuum take of at the base of your carby.

ah connected it then seems to run alot better would this be a correct statement ??

Oh yeah it will run shit loads better when connected

any vacuum source on the carby will do, generally its the one closest to the bottom of the carby.
