Featured Replies

Alright well the last couple of mouths ive been thinking.

I'm thinking about making something ill beable to force air straight into my carby as my car aint a road going car i was thinking a small scoop sort of thing then into a pipe staight into the carby but don't really have ideas of how i would go about it any ideas pepole

cheers

about the only way to force air down there is turbo or supercharging. hence the term "forced induction" :jamie:

Then again, anything that helps the engine suck cooler air has got to be of some advantage. Rather than sucking hot air from under the bonnet thats already been thru a hot radiator.

Something like an air dam from behind the beaver panel piping into an air box on the carb or something. just an idea.

I am doing a similar setup for my car, i made a squarish funnel out of sheet aluminum, more or less to decrease the vacuum then to get psi, (which is kind of forced induction) and i am placing it behind my grill

for some good reading about all this and to see that ram air inductions (i.e. that putting a funel out the front of your car) work to get rid of vacuum,

(although you may not have manifold vacuum at all times for brake booster vac advance etc. etc.)
