June 12, 200521 yr comment_49867 Hey guys, names dylan, i just joined as I'm a corolla freak. Just drove to Brisbane from newcastle to buy a ke70 and drove it 800kms to get it home. She's immaculate with only 90,000 ks. I have twin 40mm solexs and was wondering if they fit onto "redlines" twin webber manifold. they look very similar. I'm keen to buy it and hook up. thanks for any help. Report
June 12, 200521 yr comment_49875 Yep, it's the same pattern. DCOE, DLHA and Solex have the same manifolds. Report
June 13, 200521 yr comment_49914 they are the same, but sometimes linkages or attachments can be different. rob had a pin poking down from dellortos foul on his custom extractors, whereas webers fit no worries some people say solexes aren't that good, some people say they have almost as much potential as a DCOE or DHLA. if you're going to spend over 500 bucks, i'd get one of the better brands Report
June 13, 200521 yr Author comment_49955 Thanks folks, i got them for a hundred bucks off a guy who swap them for webbers, and the guy said they both gave the same hp. only about 5 ponies different. Gotta love the sound of twin carbies sucking their tits off. Report
June 13, 200521 yr comment_49960 cool, nice find :) either way, they're going to be better than any downdraft you could put on the car. run small chokes, 28mm would be ideal, 32mm would be alright Report
June 15, 200521 yr Author comment_50666 yeah thanks mate will do, just gotta get 4 adapters and 4 small pod filters now, hopefully it'll look sweet. Report
