3t-gteu In A Ke55 Hardtop

hey guys, I'm kinda new to this forums thing

but it seems like alot of you know your stuff when it comes to rollas so here i am

i am in the process of building myself a unique rolla ride

originally i was looking at the usual 4ag options

(I'm a toyota purist) :jamie:

but it looks like i am getting my hands on a 3t-gteu motor!

twinspark motor! i was really excited when a mate said he could get me one

reckon this is a good idea???

i have read a bit about the motors and the practicality of them

and this is gonna be a dirt cheap option compared to the 4ag line up

but yeah, an advice or ideas would be awesome at this point :bash:

Sorry to sound so rude and blunt, but how in the hell can you put that in a Rides section? its for showing pictures and updates on your cars. not a general conversation/tech section!!

try here instead http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showforum=13

I know your new to forums, but just have a quick look around and use some commonsense before creating a new topic.

End Rant

Welcome to RC and get some pics up of your ride :)

my commonsense told me to post it here

this is a section for posting about our rides/projects?

and pictures are on the way

but thanks for being honest and straight forward :)

my next update will be packed with the more gruesome details of it all :)

i just want to get the motor/accesories and start the work before i get into the details

but yeah, say 2-3 days and we should see some more interesting stuff

you beat me to the chase, i was gonna put a few questions in general mech anyway :P

but thanks for the help

from what i know, they a fairly good setup standard wise and pretty reliable. They can also put out some horsepower (as most turbo'ed engines do) if you throw some money into it and still be fairly reliable if you don't goover the top. Check out this link....

yeah, thats what id heard about them

sick video, wish i could get in contact with the guy who owns that

id love to have a chat with him
