Fitting Sports Steering Wheel

ok then, was playing in the shed with my new toy and took off the steering wheel as i have an after market wooden one with boss kit i used to have on my 4runner and thought what the heck see what it would look like...

 

bugger me it fitted !! :dance: i thought the spline on the rolla would be smaller but turns out it aint...

 

just the plastic indicator cancel thingy doesnt locate properly its just a bit off but a small drill bit can sort that out...

 

is this not a good idea and should i get an actual ke70 boss kit or is the 4runner/hilux boss kit fine to use??

 

i have done a search but came up with nothin but my choice of motor upgrade>> :cool:

Pretty much all toyotas have the same spline for the boss kit, so if it fits on its right. :cool:

Importantly, did you hit yourself in the head with the steering wheel when you pulled the original one off?

Awesome, I've got a sports wheel for a hilux that's about to go into my wagon! Finally I'll be able to fit my knee past the shifter and the wheel!

HA !! been stung like that before on an old dato thanks to my brother in law "just reef it she'll be right" :cool:

 

fitted it up sarvo fits beautifully... perfect steering distance for control just needed to drill the locator holes a bit for the indicator thingy to hook into... looks sweet too i'll post a pic soon..
