what is drift_pig13 ive seen it on a few cars now and i don't know what it is

Edited by lilke70

It was just before my time, don't quote me at all!!!, but something to do with a drifter and the cops (as the name would suggest lol).....died also i think......see a bit of graff around the Blackwood area also associated with him/it/iunno lol

It relates to a person from NS (nissansilvia) who committed suicide. It is supposed to be in his memory and all that and to create awareness of youth suicide.

Personally I think people have the sticker more to be like everyone else than for it's real meaning but that's just the way I roll.

Hi

Driftpig was the avatar/screen name of Ben Simpson, who died in a car accident/suicide. His parents were quite obviously devastated by the loss, I think he was an apprentice mechanic at holden, there was no sense to the loss. Soon after his death the NS club as a whole rallied around them and offered them support, one of the ways to show respect for Ben, his family and youth suicide in general is to have the sticker, which raised funds towards a not for profit youth suicide support centre (I believe) each year there's a memorial cruise, and you have to take a teddy bear for a donation. His parents use the user name "Olds 32" I think or something similar and are active in the Car club scene and are there for the young kids at risk, they put A LOT into the Adelaide Car Scene.

You can find out more at nissansilvia . com . au or I think Hard Tuned . net
