Hey, did a quick search but couldnt see anything on this.

Can someone tell me if the k50 gear box 5spd shifter thread is 12 x 1.25 or 10 x 1.25.

I'm getting a new gear knob and just want to make sure it will fit.

Don't have one handy to measure...... but you should!!

 

Just remove your gear know and measure the diametre of the thread. It'll be either 10mm or 12mm and then you have your answer. :D

I'm pretty certain they're all 12mm. pitch I cannot remember.

M12 x 1.25

 

one way to find out, take off your current gearknob and go visit bunnings. take it to the bolt section and use their bolt tester to see what size it screws onto.

 

(that's what i did anyway :D)

strange toyota use m12 x 1.5 on their wheel studs, and 1.25 on their gearknob.

 

Nissan use 1.25 on their wheel studs, haven't bothered looking at gearsticks.
