ca18det_ae86 Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 hey pplz before the flaming , ive looked around and ive found a few different responses . my spaz mates have been playing around with my ignition timing , thinkin they know how 2 set it , now the car has no pull at all , and only way up top it has a strong pull , so I'm thinkin they advanced the shit outa of it . so i retarted it a lil and now running better , i just want to set it with the timing light properly , I'm running 98octane in her , what the standard stock 4age 16v run? and how much more can i advance her to get a lil more power out of it safely? cheers guys Quote

Timing should be 10 degrees at idle with the TE1 and E1 terminals bridged, without the terminals bridged it should be 16 degrees at idle.
