4k Parts To A 3k

hey guys already done a bit of a search and found that the 3k / 4k are pretty similar but i was just wondering about a few specific parts. Ive got a 3k block here as my 4k did a bottom and and the 3k is missing bits like distributor, alternator, starter motor etc. Will my 4k bits just bolt on and work fine?

G`day mate, as far as I know its all interchangeable. The only thing that you might watch out for is the length of the waterpump shaft but you can swap them anyway. Stock dizzy same same.

Good luck with the build. Shame that you are not local, I`d give you a stripped 4k for free.

Yes all "ancillaries" are transferable.

 

Hopefully you have the 3k engine mounts as well still, as the passenger side one is different to a 4k one.

Let me know if not as I think I still have some 3k mounts in a box somewhere.
