  1. Yeah its unlocked, but the car isnt running. Might just waiti till i get it going again and drive it to a locksmith. Would take it out but is on an r31 and it looks like a PITA
  2. Hey guys, has anyone had experiance with any locksmiths what come out to you? Have a key snapped off in the door of my car and was hoping a locksmith could come out and remove it (if i can't) and make me a new key. Any idea if they can do all this with the lock still on the car, and how much id be looking at roughly? Cheers, Jason
  3. This one doesnt look too hard, if there was a tiny bit more sticking out id have a crack at welding a nut on and getting it that way but i think itd just make it worse....
  4. Turbo to dump pipe is broken, so guessing just taking it somewhere would end up cheaper than thread Dr. Out of curiosity how much roughly is it to get one fixed?
  5. Hey guys, have a snapped bolt in a turbo i have from the previous owner, just wondering where people reccomend me going to get it removed. Would much rather pay someone rather than mucking around with easy outs etc. Or even better if someone here wanted o do it for a 6 pack thatd be awesome also :P Cheers, Jason
  6. looks like its coming along nicely.... but how the f@$k is a "noisy" door a rwc issue? what a f@$king joke lol wont be going in for a roady there anytime soon
  7. Theres better options out there but i wouldnt say theyre a bad spring
  8. I understand enought to know its a job id never wanna have to do :) But looks like its making good progress, is some inspiration for my future plans...
  9. Definately stay efi, and as someone else said look into megasquirts, theyre cheap and very cool
  10. Have you got your ballast resistor (white rectangle thing near the coil) When i brought my rolla that was gone and once it got to operating temp it'd start doing that
  11. If your already halfway through then go the ca. Will make more power more reliably and sound a lot better too :)
  12. Where would i be able to grab a different spring? i think mines missing altogether at the moment...
  13. Ah yes that makes sense, cheers. How much would you reccomend i have taken off the head on it now then. Only mods will be an exhaust and gemi carby... I'm guessing 20thou would be ok?
  14. Now being that is engine is different to the std 4k's... could i still put a std 3k / 4k head on? If so how much could i have shaved off? Also is the usual 20 - 60thou off still applicable for the 4k-e head?
  15. I've heard about 20thou, but you may wanna double check
  16. Hey mate as far as a carb goes look into putting a gemini nikki carb on. Its not the best option as far as power but theyre cheap (got mine for $23) and with a change of jets etc they go pretty well for what they are. Pretty much a straight bolt on too.
  17. So the stock jets were too big even with the mods you had? Interesting... this is making me want a cam lol..
  18. Yeah i imagine with a cam itd make more of a difference, my only mod is an exhaust (no extractors) Can you remember what combo of jets you used? I'm guessing 323 primary 929 secondries? Will have to learn how to pull the jets out first haha
  19. Haha yeah, but for the $25 or so it cost to put on id say its worth it just for the noise :rolls:
  20. I put a gemini carb on my ke55 the other week and noticed a sliiiiiight power increase, and a big increase in induction noise (sick!) Didnt need to use longer studs either, however drilling out the hole for the throttle cable and clamping the right amount of metal (and cable ties :rolls:) proved to be the hardest bit. Havent really noticed a loss in economy either. One thing is I'm unsure if my secondaries are fully working, does anyone know how to check on a gemi carb (I know theyre vacum operated.... is it by that bar thing on the side... if so that keeps coming out and i think the carb may be missing a spring somewhere :D)
  21. With enough money / time / planning / know how anything is possible. Would require chopping the firewall and tran tunnel i imagine. (assuming theyre a straight 6)
  22. If its ok drain your coolant / water or whatever out then get a 2L coke bottle and cut it in half and electrical tape the bit you drink from until it fits in the rad and doesnt let air in, now completely fill the rad thru the coke bottle. This will make sure theres no air etc in the system. Would be a start at least
  23. Put the shocks in today and they fit perfect. Just got std commo wagon shocks from the wrecker but it definitely made a difference, feels a lot stiffer now so I'm happy :blinks:
  24. Sweet, and I'm guessing any commo shocks would be better than the 55 ones as the commodore is a lot heavier (keeping in mind my ultra pov budget lol)
