  1. Yeah the kaaz lsds are the go if you have the cash to spend. Otherwise falcon ones fit. don't bother with the r31 lsd they are rubbish, would be better off welding it. Car looks good as well good to see the CA get some love :jamie:
  2. Ok so an update is long overdue... Managed to fix the snapped stud, got it all going, got a roady and everything was sweet. Got a shitty chrome air filter which is now falling apart and got a 2 inch exhaust as well. Picked up some eb springs cheap and planned to chuck them in with flipped leaves but then the bottom end decided to go. So ive spent the last 6 weeks or so pulling the motor and box out and looking for a new motor. (with bugger all tools this is hard) Anyway heres a few pics, first ones are of the car when it was going, other 2 are condition of the motor now, will get bottom end pics when the motor is fully out, will be interesting to see what i find :)
  3. As far as i know it fits without chopping the firewall. Tunnel will require a bash. Do a search for better info has been covered a few times
  4. Sorry i couldnt be of more help mate, just glad i didnt wreck your cat with my questionable welding lol  Glad you got it all sorted
  5. Very lucky mate. Ive got a chrome air cleaner as well thats starting to crack and after reading this i think ill just throw the stock one back on...
  6. My old r31 had done about 320000km and our family xe ute had about 440,000 on it before it gave up
  7. To those that frequent the wreckers, what does a k series starter motor usually go for?
  8. Ive got a welder. Is just a shit gasless mig but ive welded stuff ok with it before. Your welcome to come around and have a crack if you want
  9. Yeah just find something with a bigger radiator that has the pipes in a similar spot then make it fit. Twin EL thermos would keep it all pretty cool as well (if they fit)
  10. CA it. Motor will be cheaper and will make 180 = 200kw without much work and will be plenty of fun
  11. Spotted a white ke70wagon lowered on black stockies on red p's in blackburn south today
  12. Went out and brought a decent 12mm spanner and wd40d the feck out of it and managed to get them all undone. Cheers guys
  13. Cheers will go buy a couple of good 12mm's and try all of the above :P Will let ya know how i go
  14. Yeah ive only got a shitty spanner set at the moment and have already slightly rounded one so thought id come on here and ask. Can anyone confirm what size the bolts are?
  15. Hey guys, currently trying to get the tailshaft off my ke55 and the bolts are on really fkn tight. Ive WD40d them and they still don't wanna budge. Ive got limited tools and have been using a 12mm spanner but I'm unsure if this is the bolt size (seems to be a tiiiny bit of play) Anyone got any tips to help get the thing off?
  16. I'd also heard that about gemi carbs, but can anyone on here whose put one on a rolla confirm if this still happens? And i might be keen on a gemi carb sometime down the track also..
  17. Ive also heard cable ties work? Or was that something else
  18. For the front or back, dunno much about the front but a lot of toyota ones seem to fit with a bit of work, do a search. For the rear Early commo wagon (up to vn ive heard) or suzuki sierra front shocks work
  19. I'm still a fan, and think itd look even better with the grille modded a bit differently.
  20. I'm guessing this is in melb? Will keep this in mind when i decide what to do with my 4k
  21. Love aussie hip - hop. Started out from hilltop hoods ealier stuff like left foot right foot, matter of time, back once again. Now into most but hilltops are still my fave along with pegz, bliss n eso, muph n plutonic, drapht, downsyde. Seeing hilltops when they toured back in july at festival hall was probably one of my fave live shows
  22. What exactly did you have done to your carb, and how much did it cost roughly to have it setup like that? Would you reccomend a fuel setup like this or is it better to just get a carby fpr
  23. I definately am a fan, may have to try and hunt down some parts and try this... Has anyone got more pics?
  24. I think it may look a bot weird / be a lot harder to use smaller lights. But then again i could be wrong. id have a play in photoshop if my version worked. I had a look at my rolla with the front off today and it looks pretty easy. Youd have to move the horn and possibly chop down the back metal covers of the headlights. Then youd be left with the grille which by the looks of that wouldnt be too hard to modify (thee square light one)
  25. Yeah it doesnt look like itd be real hard, i havent really had a look but as long as you modded the grille neat and could mount then solidly i think itd look good and be different. The only other major hurdle would be wiring them (assuming you want them to be functional) which i wouldnt know where to begin with...
