  1. This is all well and good for ke70s but can I put these shocks in the back of my ke55 as well?
  2. Check under the oil cap for white milky oil, this is the best way to check for a bhg
  3. Hey guys, now I'm 99% sure about this but just wanna clear a few things up... from all accounts I understand that vn commodore wagon shocks fit in the back on ke55 sedans, but can someone confirm this? And do the standard shocks work or do you need short stroke shocks? Also can you use shocks from earlier commodore wagons? I've heard yes but wanna confirm this before I go wrecker hunting. Cheers, jason
  4. Looks a lot better with all 4 rims on! a lip on the front would set it off :)
  5. Found out the motor is a 4k-e, score! Also got some new shoes, 13x7 and 13x8 dragways, needs some extensive guard work and some thinner tyres to get it fitting proper but once i stop being lazy and lower it it'll look sweet
  6. Go single joel!!! or at least upgrade the twins...
  7. Yeah camshaft will get the best benifit, also look into a bit more compression by shaving the head and open up your inlet n exhaust ports
  8. Ah sweet. Places like autobarn / supercheap etc should stock them yeah? Also any info on the studs still would be great in case that idea fails
  9. Hey guys, just brought some new wheels but there isnt enough thread for them to bolt one more than 3 or so turns. Can anyone tell me how long / thread pitch etc the stock ones are so i can get some longer ones. Cheers, Jason
  10. Is there any way to tell if the whole motor is a 4k-e?
  11. Hey, pulled apart my 4k to change the head gasket and found these pistons, done a bit of a search and think they may be 4k-u ones? can anyone tell me for sure / tell me if theres any benefit or downside to them. Cheers, Jason
  12. Will depend on the offset of the wheels, I'm sure someone else will be able to give some specific info.
  13. As far as i understand any carby will theoretically work as long as it is completely airtight and the float is modified so it wont crush under pressure. Someone else will probably be able to give you more info
  14. Looks like your making good progress, and looks pretty tidy, keep us all updated
  15. I started that thread a while back and i think it looks good! I think some more work on the grille could have it looking even better though. Did he give any info about how he mounted it up / wired the headlights up etc?
  16. About how much have people payed for a workshop to put in a cam (excuding the price of the cam)
  17. She runs again!!! On the weekend me and TE278U put a whole new 4k in (BIG thanks to you dave, top bloke ) And after charging the battery and changing the dizzy (not after hearing detonation for the 1st time :P) she ran! Have to take it back to where i got the exhaust done and get them to bend it up a bit as he did a shit job and it bangs on the diff all the time, after that ill think about lowering it and saving for some nice meshies.. And heres some obligatory pics
  18. Lifted a motor out by hand on sunday with TE278U, wasnt too hard so you should be right with a few people
  19. Got it running it was timing in the end. pretty sure timing is still out but she runs now! Ps distributors are a slut to get back in on 4ks
  20. Cheers mate will most likely put the dissy off my old motor on it and do a rough time of it. Just weird because the motor was running and the dizzy hadn't been touched. I also pulled the carb off and it was FULL of fuel, will put the carb back and new dissy on and let u know how I go
  21. Hey, after ages i finally got around to putting a motor back into my ke55. Now the motor ran fine in the car it was from but in my car it doesnt want to start. It turns over but just backfires out of the carb and doesnt seem to wanna start. I was thinking either vac lines are wrong (but looked at old pics of my motor and they seem the same) or something timing related. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers, Jason

Absolutely nuts! Such a neat car
  23. Hey, Havent seen a thread on rollaclub like this and given the amount of questions we get about it i thought itd be helpful. Plus its an excuse to post up some tuff corollas. Anyone whose been on NS.com will know the drill, Post up pics of a kexx / texx / aexx (yours or otherwise) and include the type of wheels, offset and width, and any suspension / guard work needed to fit. I would start off but unfourtunantly my wheels are stock at the moment :) ready... GO!
  24. Or if you already know your way around a motor (which it sounds like you might.) The 4ks will pretty much run forever so if you're throwing a new motor in id just save your money and spend it on the 5k
