Hi all, I'm looking to install a killswitch(s) into my kesev but its currently defected and has to go through regency soon. Are killswitches legal on cars or are they another defect. For the record by killswitch I mean a hidden switch that cuts the fuel pump, earths etc.

The best idea might be to ring up Regency themselves.

 

They will generally be the best people to give you all the details you need so that if it is picked up on the day at least you know its all been done according to what they said. Taking into consideration if it is or not.

 

I couldn't see why not though, as long as it was done all properly. From a guess, at worst they would want an electrician to certify it if they were going to be real . . . :P

 

Maybe if you do get the info, let everyone else know. I think there may be a Regency thread in SA, but I am vague

Generally you put a kill switch where it wont be found, including by regency..

 

Just make sure when you take it in it isn't switched on :P or is switched on... :blush: you know what I mean.....

It won't be a defect. All you're doing is splicing into the starter wire anyway.

Why not just install if after Regency inspect it :P

 

That way you haven't wasted time installing something they will make you remove
