El corona Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Hi guys, I'm gonna be flushing the whole brake system on my AE71 and want to know how much fluid is needed to successfully accomplish this task. Quote
RainWarriorDregs Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 how good are you at it? the first time i did it, i used 4 of those brake fluid bottles. then the next time i used 3 then 2. if you're real good probably only 1. I kept losing the seal on the bleeding nipple so air would go back in when they pumped the first time, but practice makes perfect. go 3, just incase. Quote
El corona Posted May 18, 2010 Author Report Posted May 18, 2010 cheers buddy, just wanted to know the amount that i needed, done it many times on diffrent cars and yes air in the system is a bitch Quote
Raven Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 And start from the furthest most wheel from the brake master cylinder. So you should be bleeding as follows: Rear Left Rear Right Front Left Front Right That way you drain the majority of the old fluid first and leave the good stuff in the lines when it comes to doing the other wheels in the aforementioned sequence. That way you don't use excess fluid :rolls: Quote
