Seeing as my KE10 Khanacross Special wasn't finished we decided to use the old AE 71 that had been hanging around for spares. After about 5 hours of stripping, cleaning, fitting the race seat, extinguisher, bonnet pins, alloys and rally tyres from my old KE 70 khanacross car and locking up the diff this 1600 3 speed auto was ready for its first event.

The event was out at Riverside Oaks at Catai, 6 stages with 3 attempts at each. I double entered the car with a mate and apart from breaking a rear exhaust rubber the car went surprisingly well for a stocka !
