Colquhounee Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 (edited) I Have done an RB30 conversion into my KE70 and my front sway bar hits on the bottom of the sump. So does anyone know what sway bar i should use that will have more depth so it doesnt hit, as a custom made one is quite expensive. cheers Edited July 19, 2010 by Colquhounee Quote
Taz_Rx Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 Yeah sure, pedders have a listing for KE70 sway bars with RB30 convos!!!! .....seriously dude, 70 sway bar are 70 sway bars. You're not going to find one in perfect dimentions with a dip below the engine bay. Is it a possibility to notch the sump of the RB30 to make clearance? How much does it foul by? Could you maybe just raise the whole engine 10mm to clear it? Quote
ke70dave Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 if your keen, just go to the wreckers and stick your head under as many cars and look to see if their swaybar has a hump in it. and when you find one, get your measuring tape out, and see how close it is to ke70. alternatively take a ke70 swaybar with you and try and match the dimensions up with one with a hump in it. about the only way your going to be able to do it without spending the big bucks on a custom sway bar. though i recall someone saying that custom swaybar didnt cost that much?
