Nice work :y: :y: 15" is the ideal size for aesthetics and maintaining a good

ride without sacrificing comfort. A little lower and its set!

Glad to hear you cleaned under the trim too.

Thanks mate :)

Getting hooked up with some lowered suspension mid-year, only going 1.5" down and going to organize swaybars and strut braces for front and rear to tighten it up.

Even now, handling has improved and simply the look of the car is so much meaner! Guess decent rubber really helps over the el-cheapo rubber that was wrapped around the stockies now sitting under the carport out the back.

No luck at Kilsyth Pick-a-Part today for the tinted Nova tail lights. Thinking of just clearing the indicator lenses front and rear for now. So.. Uh.. How do I do that? ;)

No strees if you can't find any Novas in Kilsyth

Heres one at Jollys u pull it

And for $66.00 you have a set of original and legal lights.

Maybe clear indicators for your front bar? Pm Bowler for more details.. Just scroll 3/4 down the page.

Shall go down there in a fortnight when I'm in the position to spend some more money and grab a set and go about cleaning them up, to make them look spiffy ;)

Hmm.. Thinking I gotta do something about the 195's on the front rubbing at full lock on the plastic inner guard on the wheel arch.. Making a hell of a noise during any low speed cornering manouver.

don't know what to do next to Bucket (other than a bloody wheel alignment).

Lowering? (don't know price for 2" all round)

Source an interior that ISN'T poo brown?

Extractors? (probs not worth it on a 4afc)

Clearing the indicators front and rear? (PM me if you know how to do it!)

Replace seats with something more sporty? (AE93 seca sx?)

Tinted tail lights?

I used stockings to tint mine. :laff:

An old trick from back in NZ.

Twice cops have looked and pulled at them and said nothing.

Should I just change springs or change shockers too? Big difference if only one gets done?

Haha don't worry mate, thought about the stockings, but i'm going to go grab me a pair of tail lights from a holden nova, they came out tinted from factory ;)

Update - Got some tail lights off a AE94 CSI Hatch, pulled the loom too as they are a three-bulb setup rather than the four bulb on my car. Look schmick

Also, pinched an indicator lens off another car and going to try brake fluid as an effective way to de-colour it. This way, if it's successful, I shall pull the new tail lights apart and give them the treatment on the indicator lenses :)

Damnit.. Gotta stay inside for the next few hours to do uni work.. Hopefully will squeeze an hour or so in of work to bucket before work

EDIT: Put the tail lights and looms in, already looks so much better! :laff:

So you opted to go with the CSi lenses over the nova units :hmm: Csi ones are more pleasing

to look at compare to the series one units that were on your car. Atleast they wont fade!

**Perhaps** pull apart the ones which were on the car previously and see how you go with the

dying process. When I took my tail lights out to clean the recess they mount in, I noticed

the black backing of the tail light housing where the looms go into has 2 or 3 phillips

head screws and maybe small clips so the acutal lens can come off in one go. (This is on the

series 2 CSi lights.

And put some pics up too

Yeah, took one look at the wreckers and the shape was so much more clean-cut, the choice was obvious, plus they are a fraction darker than the series 1 lens, appealed to me :)

Yeah, i've dismantled the other tail light set and am going to use them as an experimental set.

Will get around to pictures in the next day or so, i'll try to throw up some shots of the new instrument cluster and headunit, plus attempt to get a pic of it at night with the lights on so you can see just how big a difference this setup has aesthetically.

cannot remember for the life of me :( However, I have 195's on the front and 185's on the rear, handles like it's on rails. Could do with swaybar on the front though and a strut brace.

I feel your pain, my AE80 had niether of these so I bolted on some strut braces & a front swaybar I had spare from my Twin-Cam, made a world of difference! Maybe swipe one from a GTi/SX at a wreckers?
