Des
Hey Hey, I rebuilt the Aisan carby on my Ke11 and the accelerator pump plunger i got in the kit doesn't seal and my old one isnt sealing properly either but still better than the new one. Has any one had this problem and know where to get the correct plunger and seal ?
jono1986
Did you soak it in petrol and loosen it up a bit? Like you have to push back on it to make more of a 'V'....so hard to explain without pics sorry. Edited October 1, 2010 by jono1986
Des
It's in right but it's too small and doesn't seal. Makes the car a bitch to drive.
Felix
Unfortunately the accelerator pump plungers in newer carby kits have a plasticy rubber sort of seal on them. The originals seemed to be made of leather. You could maybe try stretching the seal to make it fit better or soak it in fuel for a few days and hope it expands. Ive stretched the original leather seal over the end of a socket, Its been like that for 1 day now so I'm hoping it works.
