Trev Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 How tight is the belt? If you suspect a faulty alternator then take it back. Quote
ke cruzer Posted October 21, 2010 Author Report Posted October 21, 2010 the belts at the right tension i think its just a faulty job hes already rip me off 135 bucks ill just cut my losses. ill look for a different alternator somewhere else. Quote

Evan G Posted October 21, 2010 Report Posted October 21, 2010 take it back! 14v at the battery or the back of the alternator? put full electrical load on then check voltage at the back at the alternator then compair it to the battery. if your getting 14.5v at the alternator and only 13.8 at the battery means the alternator charging wire (those piss weak 2mm wires) have high resistance in them or dirty contact Quote
