Evan G Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 hi all, just a few question regarding 15's on a ke30/55 I'm after 15' in steel rims. i know nissan tiida/r31 spare wheel fits but do they have the correct offset that don't require any spacers? i got some saab 15's but the stud pattern is 108. i was thinking to file/ die grind them out? too dodgy? how about nissan trx rims? do they fit without spacers? (the reason i want to put 15's on is because i can run a uber low profile and better tyre choice than the current 14's. i put new wheels on the rear and it feels like i got tons of body roll. there 195/65R15 and current run a extra flipped main leaf thats 1 inch from the bump stops. its hard to explain the body roll. its like theres TONS of body roll then bam grip? the old tyres handled like they were on rails.) cheers Evan Quote
Chillin Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 (edited) Trx rims have the same problem that r31/early s13 15 steelies had. the offset is large and will contact on the front struts with any reasonable tyre choice. they also contact the rear wheel arches under hard corner forces (with 60 + profile). 20mm spacers are a good option up front as they sit slightly in the guard, this also could be translated to the rear to minimize tire scrub through body roll. your tire choice is also quite important 60 profile will work but 50 or less would be advised. feel free to hit me up with any question about this topic, as i could jimmy up a pictorial for you. also what is you front suspension setup like? that dramatically effects the rear roll cheers Edited November 23, 2010 by Chillin Quote
kangaroosa Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 TRX - R31 Steelies are about +30 or +32 offset. They fitted fine on my KE30 with 195/50 15 Tyres. The rears sat pretty inboard from memory with a standard diff. Quote
Evan G Posted November 23, 2010 Author Report Posted November 23, 2010 thanks for the quick reply fellas. I'm running compressed 2" std springs with new bushes in the front end. rear is lowered 2' with extra flipped main leaf and std rear sway bar i might just keep the 14's and put 195/45r14 on the front end ($160 each OUCH! >| ) Quote
