hi new to this forum.....and great site as well. my question is what tranny do i have on my 1975 toy corolla deluxe? its a automatic but is it a toyo glide or t40? i know for sure its not a t50. any info thanks!! :D

Either Toyoglide (2 spd) or Trimatic (3 Spd) but I may be wrong...

There should be a plate somewhere on the gearbox that will confirm that, similar to a release plate (you know, the ones with all the car details on it.), somewhere around the end of the gearbox where the driveshaft hooks up...

if it's a big ugly thing with a holden logo, it's a trimatic

 

given that your car is a 1975, i'm assuming it's a ke30 (look on the firewall at the vin), in which case it should have a 3 speed toyoglide

 

you can reference more from the chassis code than the year of the car

 

K40 and K50 are k engine manual boxes, T40 and T50 are t engine manual boxes

T40 and T50 also came behind A engines.
