Hi, just wondering if this is normal or not. When in third gear the gear stick moves back and forth as you put the accelerate on and off. The gearbox is behind a 3k motor which is in my ke20 corolla.

Sort of. However, I'd be checking your gearbox and engine mounts. Backwards and forwards, or side to side?

Without sounding a smart arse (which I'm not trying to be), if it's not jumping out of gear, don't stress about it. It's not anything that I can think of off hand, however, I'd still check mounts.

just make sure you don't rest your knee near the gear lever whilst giving it to it, over a bit of choppy road.....it can hurt. i've been whacked in the knee before whilst having a dodgy gearbox mount. not much fun.
