King_JBag Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Hey guys, I'm new to the corolla scene, ive got a ke70 (late model) and ive just fitted new rims, I got them off a guy on this site B-) But at higher speeds (like 80kph plus) the steering wheel shakes badly, just wondering if this can be fixed, because it gets really annoying :/ Cheers guys (: Quote
B.L.Z.BUB Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) Prob a buckled wheel. Put the ones on the front on the back. Or get them all balanced Edited January 18, 2011 by blzbub666 Quote
altezzaclub Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 Get them balanced and stand there watching while they do it, you'll see any bent rims and they will probably tell you about it. Wheels can be straightened. You can check them yourself with a brick or paintcan and a screwdriver, just hold the driver firmly on the brick with the blade a mm or two off the rim and rotate the wheel slowly. Do the inside rim and the outside, and watch for horizontal wobbles and vertical. However they really show up on a balance machine. Quote
