agius Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 (edited) You haven't driven much on race tracks, have you? The big thing there is a couple of things: Didn't correct quick enough (that one is kind of obvious), Steering doesn't work when the wheels are locked. The car was unsettled coming out of the sweeper, a bag full of loud peddle none too graciously applied completed the application to have an accident. That said the car looks like a bit of a hairy dog to drive. The application of throttle at 10 secs was the big mistake. Everything after that was a consequnce. i haven't driven on a track before but that skyline was copping under steer all over the joint it wasn't set up for track at all id say.. (Steering doesn't work when the wheels are locked) thats my point he would of had some sort of control with just the back wheels locked with the handbrake.. i may be totally wrong but its just my 2c  Edited February 3, 2011 by agius Quote
agius Posted February 3, 2011 Report Posted February 3, 2011 I think i can say, once your sliding on grass, there's not much you can do to control it. haha yeah Ive seen that video thank goodness the wagons ok! Quote
SkidzMgee Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Handbrake doesnt help too much if you've already got too much momentum like he already had, and then panicked, jumped on the brakes and locking up the FRONTS, which meant all corrective steering after that point was useless. Even racing sims try and train you to brake BEFORE cornering at all. Bit hard on a sweeper like that, but so was his foot on the pedal, so here we are :rolls: *Please note I have no track experience, and have written off two cars :) * Quote
