  4. my 60 series landcruiser has a similar kit, it works so well that i decided to do it to my 3t ke30, thanks for the links dude
  5. My 3tc powerd Ke30 4 door with standard running gear came to exactly 1000kg with me in it
  6. Ive got a professionaly wealded center at home you keen?
  7. Chexk for rust around winscreen rubber and back window rubber, stick ur head in the passangers foot well and look at the kick panel for rust holes, common places for rust on them
  8. no idea yet when i get my msd 6al and electronic dizzy repaired I'm taking it for a tune and ill see how much she cracks future plans would be to build another n/a one again but with a bigger cam, high comp pistons, and heavy head work.. but all in time bloke, i enjoy her heaps how she is at the moment but anyway every one each to there own theres heaps of great engines out there big and small
  9. Nah nah bloke no mods, they come out standard with 3t in the states the model is te31 so i used a crossmember out of one of them, and a box out of a t18 Fits streight up to your standard tailshaft. Ill post pics when i get home, damn I'm all the way in melb i would of taken ya for a spin
  10. Aww mate do it.. Ive put a 3tc in my ke30 its cammed 10.1 compression twin solex 40's still running stock pistons just new rings and bearings My points dizzy is a bit screwed and the carbys need a good tune From 40 till 120 i just pull away from my cousins auto vn commodore I couldnt belive my self, ive never driven a a stock one so i don't know how good they go Ive been in a mates big port 4age ae71 sounds good, great to drive nothing special tho The 3t would definantly give him a run for his money...but he sold it :( I'm runing completly standard breaks and drive line, my ke30 is an early one so i have the same diff as u (jap dif) Where abouts u from?
  11. so i got the head back, ive taken a few photos there is hardly any meat left between the valve and the edge of cumbustion chamber EGR holes i was talking about shaved almost to the thread
  12. What fuel you using? Iff its 91, try 95 or 98 premium
  13. i don't want to bother about the thin head gasket with the 3t head i rather save it for the 2t head so i can save that extra 1mm on the 2t head just incase god forbid it ever overheats or i ever need to reco it or something ya know
  14. Its making alot more sence now, i never made any calculations till now, but i belive when the head place made the calculations, piston dome value was worked out as 20.0cc Head gasket was worked out to 1.0mm and dome as 63.0cc Thus giving me the rough number as 10.1 static compression Guess they got lazy and decided to work it out in whole numbers Unluss there programs do so.. 4 posts ago if i read what I'm writing now i wouldnt know what I'm on about, ive learnt so much it just came all together The edges of the cumbustion chambers of the head must be almost dead streight for atleast over 40thou to shave 1mm off and have the exact same cc volume as completly stock Of corse the cc is going to decrease, but not in way if the edges where curved dramaticly to the sphere right from the very start.. Ive honed my bores coz they were still in great condition and ive already purchased standard size rings Thats why ive never botherd about high comp pistons... I think the best option is just chuk the motor all together put up with the low compression meanwhile shave a 2t head to the right spec.. but hopefully the motor runs in correctly with the low comp ratio hrmm..
  15. yea the head people said they measured it and got 63cc after they shaved it
  16. ahh godamn itt they shaved it right down to the EGR holes thats the most they could go without interfering with the EGR holes.. 10.1 compression was worked out with a 1.5mm thick head gasket how much static compression would a 30 thou head gasket give me can that program work that out? thank you so much for your time and every one else helping out i really appreciate it! think its time to find a 2tc head..
  17. So after all that i found out the hard way why every one ditches the 3tc head for a 2tc head Couldnt get more than 10:1 due to them damn air pump pollution holes in the head, the head is almost shaved right down to the threads And again because of them pullution things, there was no point porting it because they have theese massive bumps in the intake ports, where the air pump hoses screw into... I hope I'm going to be satisfied with the engine when i put it together..
  18. Wow 12 now thats heeps! Haha don't blame the motor for pinging in that situation
  19. Mmhh makes alot of sence, every one has a mixed opinion about this A dyno tune once everything is done was my initial plan from the start i really know how important a tune is. Was the motor you were talking about a 3tc?
