Got a question regarding potential increase in performance for my 89'SX with a 4AGE.

"Is it worthwhile disconnecting the belt which drives both the Air Conditioner & Power Steering pump, to gain engine performance"??

Probably minuscule power gain, unless it is a fully built race engine in a race car and you remove the PS and A/C pump to save some weight, but then you would have already known not to put them back in when the engine was being built.

 

To sum it up just leave them in there and enjoy the comforts of power steering and air con.

A/C does not take any power away when off, when it is on you will lose about 7hp.

 

p/s isn't doing alot until you turn the wheel.
