TomoKE55 Posted April 10, 2011 Report Share Posted April 10, 2011 Hi Everybody... Ive got an AE82 Twinky, when i got home today it was knocking severely. I thought it was the bottom end because it was running rough aswell but when i popped the bonnet i noticed the power steering pump jumping around against the motor causing the knock. It was too dark to even really see if it has just come loose or the bracket has acctually snapped, I'll have a look tomorrow arvo. Has anyone else had this problem or am i just unlucky? Cheers, Tom. TomoKE55 Posted April 11, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 11, 2011 haha, I had the same thing happen on a Gemini, got a mate to do a motor swap for me. The altenator and starter motor both came loose. He hasn't touched my cars since... I had a closer look tonight and it was actually the aircon bracket that was loose (well one bolt was loose and one bolt was missing lol) and that was making everything on that side of the motor shake like a fat chick doing a belly dance.
