haha, I had the same thing happen on a Gemini, got a mate to do a motor swap for me. The altenator and starter motor both came loose. He hasn't touched my cars since... I had a closer look tonight and it was actually the aircon bracket that was loose (well one bolt was loose and one bolt was missing lol) and that was making everything on that side of the motor shake like a fat chick doing a belly dance. All sorted now :dance:

Hi Everybody... Ive got an AE82 Twinky, when i got home today it was knocking severely. I thought it was the bottom end because it was running rough aswell but when i popped the bonnet i noticed the power steering pump jumping around against the motor causing the knock. It was too dark to even really see if it has just come loose or the bracket has acctually snapped, I'll have a look tomorrow arvo. Has anyone else had this problem or am i just unlucky? Cheers, Tom.

you can get one-way hire trailers from most servo's, best bet would probably be to ring ahead and organise to pick one up in melbourne and return it in adelaide? Then your not wasting fuel pulling an empty trailer over there aswell :hmm: Hope this helped...

So, I'm THINKING about putting her up for sale :hmm: as i have 3 more rolla's(55 4 Door, 55 coupe, and another 30 2 door thats way cleaner and running a 5k just needs paint :yes: ) and no more money lol. I've got nissan exa standard bucket seats in my 30 on the standard rails (done by pevious owner) they look neat and hold ya pretty well. not sure what model either but the look late 80's ish lol.

Ive got the same problem, a mate suggested the carby base gasket or manifold gasket could be blown. Got some in the shed so i'll chuck them in tomorrow and let you know what happens (if it stops raining :bash: )

parked her today and realised there was a trail of petrol following it and a puddle under the bay, the steel fuel line had snapped. A couple of hose clamps and some plastic tube and i was on my way again(bush mechanics lol) is there a way to change to rubber hoses or do i have to search for a new metal one? Cheers, Tom.
