KEhendo Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 be careful with those 'coolant flush' things. i know a guy who had a perfectly running 7m. during a service he decided to do the flush and clean thing. removed all the crap inside the block. lees that a week later the HG blew. turns out there was a layer of crap holding that was left of the old HG together. the flush removed all this and it all fell to bits. tl:dr don't fix what ain't broke. Evan G Posted May 7, 2011 Author Report Posted May 7, 2011 hendo id prefer coolant than rust water anyday! btw 7mge enough said :P little update went down pickapart and found a mx83. pulled the starter motor out (ABSOLUTE c**t!). stripped it down and pulled the solenoid contacts out & plunger. had a look at a fwd camry witch had the same nippon denso starter motor in it. didnt even pull the starter motor out. undid a couple bolts. Pulled contacts out/plunger witch was MUCH easier than that pos 7m :bash: so i got around 3 pairs of contacts and 2 plungers ftw! grabbed another battery clamp and spacer that sits under the battery. diagnostic connector and a couple cluster bulbs for the total of $5 WIN! Quote
