so upon further investigation turns out it was the dizzy, tested the fuel sender cause i just knew it was working. looked at the spark again weak as a donkey's left nut. took the dizzy off ... rooted as, new ignition coil, dizzy and ignitor switch and got a mechanic to align the dizzy and runs like a dream -craigo

94 camry won't start ! new battery, plenty of spark turning over but just wont fire! help pl0x! -Craigo

so theres this missing pipe that goes from the start of the air intake housing to somewhere just behind/near the throttle body... it's obviously been broken off as there are two peices left on the ends where it would normally connect to it's some sort of meshy pipe coated in aluminium or metal shielding my question is what's the purpose of this pipe and where can i get another? cheers buds p.s. it's the sohc 1.6l

yeah it sort of goes like this: 1. Turn keys (lights on the dash come on) 2. doesn't turn over just nothing 3. cranks and starts. it doesn't idle well at all particularly cause it's done near 500 thousand k's but i will do as you've said tomorrow and see what happens :) cheers for the help i shall let you know how it goes - Craigo

Yeah i'm wondering if i need a bigger battery more cas and ccas because when i go to start the car i turn the key and there is a little lag until the car starts up, or maybe alternator? Any info on this topic would help cheeers guys.
