JeFfReYiSpEacE Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Hey guys, sorry to bother you guys about things like this.. must make me sound really dumb or something.. but i've been searching for a manual of some sort for this car... can't find it here... and its kinda expensive to post it from Aussieland too.. anyway.. anyone know of the existence of a drainage system in a KE70? everytime it rains, i keep hearing this constant slushing sound from under the driver's door... i thought at first it came from the door itself (rubber seals from the driver's window not in good condition) and water might have collected inside the door... but nothing of that sort (i took apart the door panels, no water inside)... sounds comes from just below the doors.. on another note, i ripped apart the interior carpeting... found water (again?!?!) on the driver's and passanger's side of the flooring (is this what you call it?).... planning to fix the leakage (maybe i'll leave this to the professionals), finish the interior with a fresh coat of paint, sound proof it and getting some new carpets for the insides... hope i'll be able to share some photos with you guys... this morning took so much out of me that i wasn't able to snap any photos at all... shed some light on the earlier issue? thanks guys! :jamie: Quote
kangaroosa Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Below your doors are the sills. They should have rubber grommets on the underside. Remove these, and drive the car. Maybe some water will slosh out when you break and accelerate. Water inside the cabin normally comes from the heater vents or rust holes in the section above the firewall (inside the slotted panel below the windscreen). Get inside the car and look under there with a torch. Generally if its rusted, it will be on the far left or right near the air ducts. Quote
Teddy Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 Morning there Post up some pics of where the water ends up, and around the area, and ill be able to help you out, as ive got a good idea on this topic, its just easier to draw on photots, then it is to explain :jamie: Matt Quote
