thanks phil.. i sorta sat down and had a think about it and i worked out it was gunna cost me roughly $450 if i kept buying it in small amounts.. searched around on the net and got hold of 10kg resin and 10 sq meter of mat for $220.. didn't realise i was paying so much !!

cheers rigga its not really skills but, just got in and had a crack at doing it my self, saved heaps of money, it doesn't look as good as a professional job but there is a good sense of satisfaction doing it your self. this is the first time ive ever attempted to actually make something out of fibreglass, eventually the whole boot will be re-trimmed in the same vinyl as the doors.

going to the effort of making some flush mount rings for when it comes time to stretch fleece over the boxes, just waiting on my fibre glass which should be here tomorrow  also waiting on my 0 gauge wiring kit and optima battery.

oh and got a bargain on these bad boys  now all i need is a decent enough amp to run them (more money)

anyone know how to wire one of these?? it has a small wire around 18 gauge coming off it.. but i'm unsure if its a ground wire or a trigger wire? take it to the ignition? i can't see how it would turn on and off so my guess is ignition wire? i can't find any info about it so any help would be much appreciated

been way to rainy and cold lately and ive been too lazy but i made some rings for the subs to mount to.. they are countersunk but are a tiny bit to small for the subs to fit into.. cars at the shop getting a new windscreen in and some other small jobs.. i ripped the carpet/seats etc out and dynamatted the whole floor and ran the 0 gauge cable down the middle of the car and all the signal wires down one side of the car.. and than put down some under carpet insulation i had from ripping a house apart.

bought a second hand vn alternator and i'm gunna see if i can use the guts out of it to make a 85 amp alternator.. just gotta find some longer stator bolts.

ordered a new soundstream 4 channel amp for the focal's and also made some 6.5inch rings for them so i can mount them solid to the doors..
