ke70numbapl8s Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 Gday everyone, my name is Clint and I have just joined rolla club. I have purchased a ke70 as I had as my first car, which needs an engine rebuild. Can someone please help out by explaining why the crank pulley has 2 timing marks on it? Any help much appreciated, Cheers Quote
me n d boy Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 Gday everyone, my name is Clint and I have just joined rolla club. Any help much appreciated, Cheers I think you will find that the one mark that lines up with the keyway is top dead center (tdc) and the mark to the rigth is were you set your timing So before you put it back together get some white touch up piant and paint the marks Cheers Scott Quote
altezzaclub Posted May 30, 2011 Report Posted May 30, 2011 Mine has only one notch for timing, at TDC, & the timing angles are cast in the cam cover. It has two notches in the front of the pulley too. Never really found out why. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/49736-extra-notches-in-crank-pulley/page__gopid__527940#entry527940 Quote
