  1. hey rolla group, just wondering if any one had ever changed a ke55 steering box to a rack n pinon set up out of a ke70 or any thing else about the same size ,and how easy or hard was it, and did you leave the same steering colum,
  2. hey ke rolla, if anyone lets you know where to get them ,can you let me know as well as I need some for a ke55 and these one's look the same. cheers Scott
  3. the rubber stuff that goes around the window is called Bailey channel and I just got it from rare spares and there is the right part number for a ke30 ,for the four doors it cost just under a $100, but I have heard that you can get it from Clark rubber as well and its a bit cheaper ,it will fit and do the job well but not a corolla true fitment
  4. hi cameron seat mount points where 345mm wide approx 375mm long approx yes will have an engineer have a look at mounts , but they are so solid they will be staying in either way. seats are from super cheap made by saas, look good and are really comfy
  5. OK, I've made some mounts that work really well, using the corolla rails and basically split them in half, bolting the top half of the rail to the seat and then to the plate and then welding the plate to the lower part of the runner
  6. the lower control arms have a outer steel case that needs to be pressed in , can be done in a vice with some sockets and take your time, best done in a press . to get them out, just hit bush with a hammer on the end without the flange and after a couple of hits they should come out ,and once they are in back on the car, leave the control arm bolt a little loose and tighten once the car is on the ground, this will allow the bush to stay in its natural position, not twisted if you tighten them in the hung position. good luck with the job
  7. lucky ,but I think I have it sorted :hmm: ,if it works will post photos , if not will look at autotecnica
  8. the saas seats mounting points are shorter, both in width and lenght, will have to ring saas as they are in wethrill park and not that far from work
  9. I was given some new saas seats for the rolla and was just wondering if any one has bought or made some mounting runner to fit the seat to the ke55 mounting points, and if so where did you get them?
  10. hey tye, i've done the v6 with t5 gearbox and it fits in neat, used commodore engine mounts ,mod the crossmember used auto rear gearbox mount, sits level in the car, will have to use vn headers and take time to make it fit around the steering box and clears the steering arms below ,I used a subaru gt forester radiator with twin thermos ,all wired up to computer and starts off the standard toyota key ,will try to put up more photos for you
  11. where do you start, :hmm: could be plugs no good, may have a dead lead, coil break down under load, broken wire, points may not be opening propley, bob weight in dizzy need adjusting, check timing and dwell, could even be a worn cam or adjust valves, bad lot of fuel , even water in fuel, blocked fuel filter, adjust choke if automatic, carby rebuild, check compression for head gasket, go from there and see how you go :)
  12. hey there, doing same engine swap in ke55 ,try looking at this link,http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/8849-nicks-ke30-v6-project/page__p__132560__fromsearch__1#entry132560
  13. hi there, don't let anyone tell you it's worth nothing because looking at the photo,it could be worth a bit,it may take a while to sell , but it should sell.I would say between $2500.00 - 3500.00 maybe more ,start high but don't give in to the first offer.I think you should do well good luck

    Cheers Scott
