  1. Hey guys Has anyone ever reversed the wiper setup so the motor is mounted on the passenger side? Looking into doing this as my car has a aftermarket pedal box and there's no where for it now in the drivers side where it was originally mounted, also can all the linkage arms be switched around to suit also? Though I'd see if anyone has done it Cheers Morgan
  2. Well I'm pretty chuffed that the old girl made it through to the rollaclub COTY short list! To me that's a win on it's own!! Thanks for the nominations and to everyone who has voted for the car, going to be a tough shoot out as the short list line up has some awesome and quality builds! Good luck to all though and thanks again guys! :) Update wise for the car, it's currently undergoing some minor tidy-up/ finishing work before a photoshoot next month and then certification to get her all road legal again for some cruising! Will have some more pics up soon! Thanks again guys! Morgz
  3. well it was a hectic last 2 weeks getting the car together and running properly for powercruise 45 down in taupo, after having issues with the car cutting out it finally got sorted early Friday morning (the day of powercruise), car ran like a dream down there and man did it fly! once it managed to find a bit of traction there were very little cars out there on the track that could catch it (or that I couldn't catch) managed to last all Saturday but decided not to race sunday as the rear shocks failed so rear become extrememly soft so didn't want to risk panel beating the floor or pinch any brake/fuel lines, all up was a successful weekend! now to fix up a few little bits and it should be ready for cert! heres a couple pics, the blue KE70 pictured with my car is a mates 3sgte powered one, he drove it up there, entered every event and drove her home! talk about reliable!
  4. Thanks for the positive feedback guys, well the cars still at the tuners, has been there a little over a week now, had a few issues, the first being the engine wasn't getting enough fuel at high revs which came down to a wiring error, once this was sorted she ran up well...until the turbo decided to let go, was informed the car made it to 303kw at the wheels on 23psi, unfortunately the low range is still yet to fine tune so I purchased a new turbo which will be fitted this week and tuning will be finished up, because they no longer make the MP t-56 turbo iv gone for the newly developed equivalent in the master power range so it will have to be run up again on the dyno but I have been told I should get a better result from this turbo, never the less I'm pretty dam pleased with the power output and I know the motors good for about 30psi possibly more so should be reasonably reliable too, will have an update with some graphs at the end of the week hopefully, cheers
  5. update time!, sorry again guys for the crap effort of updates, have been flat out with a mixture of work and working on the car to get it ready for its first public event in November (powercruise) car is painted now and it has been a hectic last few months tracking down new door/window seals getting bits and pieces cleaned up etc before they are fitted to the car, the puzzle is finally coming together though, just a few more electrical things and other minor bits and pieces to be sorted, windows to go in and shes pretty much ready to go for a cert! she's also been tuned and run in, currently running about 230kw atw on 14psi, car is currently at the tuners in the process of a full power tune so watch this space....
  6. oke020 are the caltracs you run the actual caltrac brand bars or have you made up your own set? Cheers
  7. ok guys, cars painted and I'm ready to fit all the bells and whistles back onto the old girl, unffortunatly the clips for my outer chrome side window sill strips are rusted out and I'm wanting to know if I can get replacements from anywhere, please help me out, itching to get this damn car back on the road and looking good so any help would be much appreciated! even if there someone out there who has some good condition spares ill take them, need x24 from memory I think (x6 per strip) heres a pic of what I'm talking about
  8. My cars in the prep stage for paint and I want to remove my side windows to make paint easier and also be a good opportunity to replace all the seals and get the windows pollshed/tinted, has anyone removed them before? anyone got any tips for removing them? any help would be great guys cheers:)
  9. Hey guys How are the ke20 bumpstops mounted in the rear of the car, I'm having issues with the driveshaft hitting the floor when I plant it, thing is the car had no bump stops when I got it so I'm clueless to where they originally were, any help would be great Cheers
  10. man I'm slack on updating this, better late than never I guess, few updates since the last time I was on here, exhaust is all finished, full stainless steel 3" with 2 mufflers, stoked with how it sounds an yes its alive, compression turned out to be a bit less than expected so power output wasn't as high as I expected for its first tune which got 230kw atw on 15psi, but on the upside I can crank the boost up a hell of a lot more than I planned to and the motors been easily built to handle it so its got a lot more power to come! had it out for a brief run last week to make sure all was running sweet and riding well, guards need a little more pumping out to clear its shoes and need some bump stops so the driveshaft doesn't try to eat its way rear floor, other than that its a hell of a lot of fun to drive and loves to step its rear-end out! all lights etc are now going again so next on the list is to get the gauges reading properly, guards pumped out and bump stops put in and then it should be all ready for paint and re-assembly! visually the car doesn't look all that different from the last few pics but here's a couple pics I took when I got her home to the shed, good to be home!
  11. Front discs and calipers are off a s6 rx7 (fd3s), and the rears are just single pot s13 discs
  12. well engine bays pretty much finished and its finailly alive! sounds a bit like a untuned tractor at the moment though so will put up a video when its all tuned and driving, car currently getting the exhaust done and then off to the tuners for its run in tune! woohoo
  13. looking good mate, will you be able to get the grill over that Intercooler? please tell me your not going to cut a great big hole out of the grill/bumper to accomidate it?
  14. few more pics of the never-ending build! there is no vid of the car running yet!...but that will be coming very soon *cough* next week *cough* couple pics to show whats been going on anyway, ripped into the boot and have had my fuel cell fitted, final outcome I'm stoked with! everythings hooked up ready to go now, have had a few minor hickups with start up preperation but shes all looking good to go for next week so I'm amping to see her bark into life again! havent got any updated enginebay pics of everything in there but have chucked up a couple i took just after new years next on the list after start up is paint, tune/ or vise versa and then cert!
