He works for Toyota and found that he could get 3k and 4k parts but 5k weren't available?! since deciphered/assumed that 5ks are only jap imports? 3k and 4k have different tensioners - does anyone know if either will work on the 5k engine? i would assume that the 5k will use a 4k chain and tensioner, but i'm just looking for clarification. serious noob question, but hey, that what you guys are for! I suggest going to dual timing chains off a 3k and some 4k's ( before 82) as they are a little stronger but you will need to change the gear they sit on but they are cheap.
