yea i'm not against spring cutting.. not really a fan of it either but... as long as decent stiff shocks are used i reckon its fine.. and i normally cut two things off the rubber bump stops when cutting springs.. so it still has a bit of travel in it.

Just take it to a shop mate, all of their fab work will be covered by some kind of warranty and they will do it once, and do it right.

 

I'm not doubting your fabrication skills, just for the little expense they charge it will give you peace of mind.
