Hey guys,

been trying to search the forums looking for whats involved swapping ke20 disc front onto a ke10? any info would be much apreciated :)

G'day, I've got ke20 disks on the front of my ke10.

 

It's got the ke20 dustshields bolted to the struts, with a ke10 inner wheel bearing, Ke20 rotor slides on with ke20 outer beaing

and it all just bolts together.

 

Then the caliper just bolts to the dust shield and then your brake lines (mine has ke38 brake lines, don't know if you can use stock ones)

 

And then i'd recomend getting a ke20 brake master cylinder as well as the original one wasn't designed for it.

cheers for the reply dude :) pictures would be handy thanks :) is there many aftermarket slotted rotors etc. for the setup? Ive been told that i should upgrade the brakes before i get her on the road cus if the inspectors see ive got a pretty heavily worked 5k in it its a prety large increase over standard

Ah not really much in the slotted rotor upgrade department but a good set of pads would do wonders

I had had the same as Jono.c. But when I put the supercharger on I changed to ke55 brakes. Using ke-20 hubs(same as Jono.c), ke-55 backing plates, calipers and rotors. This is the same for ke-70 brakes too which you can buy slotted rotors for. But you will need the ke-20 hubs if you want to keep the 4x110 stud pattern.

KE70 backing plates are different to the 30/55 ones. I used ke20 struts/stub axels, ke70 backing plates, rotors hubs and calipers, ke20 inner and ke70 outer bearing and I had to offset the rotors 3mm by machining the outer center face because there wasn't enough clearance between the backing plates and rotors to mount the caliper.
