  1. Yeah the actual ball joints them selves although different size / taper are same size where they press into the arm
  2. From memory the ball joints will interchange Theyre not really a street LCA. There’s no benefit to them over the factory ones unless you’re just trying to gain wank factor
  3. Funny how many people don’t seem to know this forum exists Plenty of people on the Facebook group, usually with the same questions getting asked.. The same questions as 10 years ago on here with all the answers. I still come back here from time to time to see what’s happening but it’s a shame it’s not like it was years ago. I have much of the FAQ and many other threads saved and printed for the day the forum no longer exists, but I’m glad it still does.
  4. Ke20 are the longest of the Corolla lcas From memory ke20 is approx 325mm while ke30 is 310mm Unless they have a ton of adjustment they won’t be long enough and you’ll end up with positive camber. What’s the reason for wanting longer Lca’s? Just for camber?
  5. Been a long time since i was on here. A lot has happened but still a lot to go! Car went off and had rust in engine bay repaired (was very little for it's age) and the engine bay has been resprayed factory colour. Pretty in love with the colour 7k and t50 are in and running and currently fitting all new balljoints, tie rods, control arms bushings and idler + pitman arms and having all the front end done in 2k black. Car will soon be heading back to have the rest of the bodywork done and painted.
  6. It did, I came across it on gumtree a couple months back looking exactly the same as i sold it. I ended up having both this, and my ke18 and about 5 other cars and some just had to go.. I removed most of the best bits and kept them for my ke18 and sold the sprinter to a guy down here just after my last update in this thread, then never saw it again until the Gumtree ad

  8. I bought a distributor cap off a km36 liteace with a 5k engine. Distributor cap is same size but runs conventional 4k style plug leads etc
  9. Whats the reason for using the 4k distributor? The 7k one is electronic and a better unit

I built coilovers for my ke10 using golf gti shocks. i removed about 90mm from the strut tube as i'm 4" lower than stock and didn't want to run any spacers under the shock etc. They will work fine but you'll need to get your springs etc first and lay it all out to figure out what size spacers you'll need under the shocks or how much to cut out the strut

  12. Pretty common to swap to a solid billet style one in silvias etc for more direct steering feel. Theyre available pretty cheap for those.. could be worth messaging a seller to get pcd and see if one would work

  14. Both will fit. Keep tyre size to a 185 or 195 and shouldnt have an issue
  15. 3k clutch kits can be different. My 3k from ke11 has a smaller input shaft than the later ke55/ke70 etc What gearbox does it have?
  16. Not heaps to update! Engine bay has been fully stripped ready to be resprayed and the whole underside of car has been coated and resprayed black. Currently making a gearbox crossmember to suit my K-T50 setup At this stage still playing with ride height and wheel fitment before paint Pretty happy with how it sits

  19. I always find it shit to look at photos like this from near 10 years ago to realise most of them probably don't exist anymore.. The way it is down here anyway.. Corolla culture is no where near as big because there's hardly any available due to crashing/ part outs / rust
  20. I drink a fair amount of it 😂 it's in a few bottle shops near me. Actually tastes like beer and not water like great northern etc.. Oldies give you a bit of shit for drinking it however.
  21. Well, as some of you may know i have a bit of a ke1x addiction... I still currently have my ke17 sprinter and a ke16 wagon but i've chasing this car for 5+ years and finally managed to buy it. Ke1x wagon is pretty much my dream car, and was a bit saddened when my current one (build thread on here) is too rusty to do much with... Now this one is not perfect, But it's pretty bloody good. Rust is minimal to none just some damage and bad paint to deal with. Luckily i have a full donor front end as the one with it was junk.. The plans for short term are try to make it run and stop so i can move it around easier, and then go over the whole car and make a list of everything it needs to pass rego. Long term the ke17 will get reshelled into this and sold off as a rolling project and the ke16 will be stripped and kept for spares. And although that sucks as the ke17 is ready for the road pretty much my hearts not in it and i need all the new parts for this.

  23. Haven't done too much to this thing of late. Been a bit busy with other things.. Managed to get camber tops all sorted and machined the top hats to suit needle bearings for them also. Been spending time on my newest project i grabbed a while ago and finally got registered so now i should be able to get back into it. I'll upload a photo of the newest toy below
