  1. Send him a private message. It will send him an email, thats your best bet mate.
  2. Dude, the last post was over 12 years ago.
  3. Hey Darren, how are you mate? It's unfortunately slowly and i'm also considering a slightly different direction, well, maybe haha. Gotta have a plan B! Pretty sure it is a 12.99, well that's the quickest one I've seen, was/is a white ke30 pretty sure it's a Sydney car. But that was a long time ago though. Ultimately I'd like around an 8.90 out of my car that's obviously not with a "K", well I should fess up, about 4 months ago I bought a CA stroker short block stupid cheap full of spool gear, so that technically could be plan B but I've also been researching the Honda stuff too.
  4. I've seen the same symptoms in my ke11 and my father's old FJ20 swapped datsun 510. I had the "signal" wire for the regulator to the battery wire post on the alternator, it apparently loses the 12v signal and stops charging. May not be your issue, just thinking out loud.
  5. Ok. The only real way to know if it's a 4k-u or 5k head is the lugs under the plug holes. I have never seen a 5k small bowl piston engine ever, so I cannot confirm or deny if they have lugs or not. I've seen a lot of inconsistencies with those casting numbers, so I personally don't worry too much about those. I've personally had 2.25mm or .090thou decked of a 5k head recently and was no problem, in saying that though, you really need to match what you're taking off the head to what comes off the base circle of the camshaft. Well that's if you're keeping or have a hydraulic cam. Valve clearance to piston(for those playing at home) is still plenty with a mid sized cam and the big dish piston.
  6. Nope not even close.. the deck of the piston sits 3-3.5mm down the bore. Whoever started that rumor years ago needs to be shot. I'll post about the rest when I get back from work. It will be long.
  7. 2:10 is the thumbnail pass and she's sitting on the bumper.
  8. Haha not likely, ended up getting $24.5k for it, went to a panel beater/painter about 15min up the road(still get visitation rights). Pretty good deal considering it made 272rwkw last week on the hub dyno next to work(only ever made 250rwkw on rollers because of traction problems)
  9. Bit like, if you had to choose between your wife and fishing. Would it be salt or freshwater.
  10. Post is near 2 years old... He also hasn't logged in for a year, might pay to send him a PM.
  11. Yeah mate, still around. Only used twice but owes me f'all so I don't really mind. I have fitted a new CD player and a safety chain to trailer.
  12. https://www.repco.com.au/en/brands/rapid/rapid-fix-dual-adhesive-system-10ml/p/A9477258 Best by a long way. It does seem to work best on plastic I've used it for fairing repairs to fixing the kick panels on the ke11.
  13. Try http://www.lauriamotorsport.com.au Or Next Gen race cars in Hallam Victoria. Either should be able to point you in the right direction.
  14. What K are you using? Should s%$t it in with a 4 or 5k. that blown 5k I had made really close to 145hp at the wheels on 11psi. All it had was a blower cam, pot screw adjustment microwreck abacus oh and stupid low comp. The sc12 is probably a bit small for a cammed 1500 too. Just weld the wastegate shut. Let it have everything and when the turbo grenades itself just chuck a $200 eBay China special that's a touch bigger on it.
  15. Me neither, I don't even think Pozmans old high comp, bigger cams, ITB'd CA powered 55 kept up with my old budget blown setup. That was $1250 to put together, with the tune, can't believe I sold it either. It should make a bucket load of torque though which will make it real fun.
  16. Ah that's where it was, thanks mate. I'll have a look. I've machined up a couple of early Ford setups recently and know they work but it's always nice to see what others are doing with a front end more suited to what I'm playing with. I'll see if I can dig up a photo or two of what I've done and pm them to you.
  17. How's this all going Mr Banjo? I'm looking into a wheel speed sensor setup on a ke30-55 hub atm, I've ordered a dash with my ECU and want vehicle speed and gear used on it, added bonus it then unlocks the ability to run traction control and boost per gear etc. Setting up those crank an cam sensors is a PITA! Can also give dirty signals to the ECU at higher rpm too,
  18. Nice score on the leads, although i think it's probably more supply vs demand than takumi tax. How many more of these Mazda/Ford motors do you still see, compared to the 4ages? Still love the budget factor of this car, keeps reminding me of the $1250 blower/efi setup I had on my ke11. You need a thread for the 1600, I'd be all over it. Hey speaking of L series I've got an early L16(the ohc 1600 one) cam cover if you're interested, I'd slide it over for postage. I have zero use for it, car is for sale and it will never see another L series.
  19. How's tech going? Get the injector going or new one?
  20. WMMH a mate/customer I have been looking after his 4agte development/build over the last couple of years, made 368rwkw the other night at like 8-9psi lower than the(small amount of head room) boost limit I suggested. Oh and it's still alive, pretty stoked since it's still 1600cc and std port "bigport" cylinder head. But what really MMH was the super freaking sexy Modena racing gears 6spd sequential dog box he's got behind it..
