RocksRolla Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Hey, in my ke70 i have a 5k block and a 4k head, i want to put them together... do i need to use a 4k head gasket on the 5k block or 5k head gasket, when bolting them together? the bores are smaller on the 4k head, so it will overhang the bores... but the 5k head gasket will fall a little bit short of the bore? probably a simple answer but need advice, hope this isnt confusing :bash: Quote
Evan G Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 use the 5k headgasket as the bore is larger than a 4k. its logically but correct me if I'm wrong Quote
ninja-philbo Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 not as simple as just bolting it on bro goto change or the rocker gear pushrods lifters everything Quote
altezzaclub Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Which pistons and what is the compression ratio going to be?? Quote
snot35 Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Assuming you've worked out all the above stuff, you want the 5K gasket. Otherwise you'll be blowing the gasket all the time as the firing rings will be far too close to the action. Quote
