Teddy Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 Blue smoke means that oil is getting burnt with the air fuel mixture in the combustion chamber, somewhere along the lines. It could be either rings are worn, oil has leaked down from valve guids.. a hole range of things. How bad is it ? Quote
Super Jamie Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 generally that happens to k engines when they sit for a shitload of time, i think it has something to do with the rings sticking and needing to free up. drive your car more i didnt drive my 3k for 9 months and it blew smoke for 3 days when i got it going again if it continues, it's either rings or valve-related like teddy said. usually the valve guide seals Quote
Mr Hardware Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 just make sure your air filter aint full of oil, make sure the engine has plenty of good oil and take it for a nice 100kmh highway run with good fuel and flashlube for like 30ks or so and i reckon i'll go away Quote
Super Jamie Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 haha flashlube, does nothing for K engines Quote
Mr Hardware Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 it makes my k motor blow less smoke and ping less up hills and btw nice linking to the faq Quote
Super Jamie Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 i think that might just be masking the symptoms of an already-worn engine, but if it works for you it's cheaper or at least easier than rebuilding the thing hey :D :( Quote
Teddy Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 *lol* "here you go, have more additive" bahah Quote
