No Headlights. High Beam Flash Works. Ke35

Hi,

 

So the headlights have just gone in the KE35. If I turn them on they don't work in the High Beam or Low Beam position. However if I flash on the High Beams they work, but only if the lights are switched on. If the lights aren't already on the relay just makes a buzzing sound. I talked to a mechanic and they seemed to think the problem doesn't lie with the relay. All other lights work fine. (i.e tail lights, parkers, brake lights, indicators)

Hi Mitch, sounds like it could be an earth problem.

Make sure that no earth wires have come off some where.

+1 for earth check all the pins in the main steering column plug.. mine slipped back and caused similar problems.. if not then quite often the combo switch can be the culprit.
