Rolla__Boy Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 (edited) u have never heard of the term "bunky"? and u call yourselves australian...what a joke, haha jus jokz means like a piece of shit car for driving to work and thrashing while the pride and joy sits at home in the garage awaiting the weekend, air cond bracket? SC12 aye..doesnt worry me to much tho about the legal part, the cars going to be stock on the outside..so ill need a reaosn to be pulled over and if it gets a sticker, prob take off the supercharging and piping and buy a new rolla for $500 I am definately Australian, and have been in and around cars my whole life, and not once ever have I heard anyone use the term "bunky". Shitter, stocker, daily, work hack, run-a-bout, but never bunky...Dit it occur to you guys that maybe it's not an Aussie thing at all, more a West Aussie thing? I wouldn't bother with the SC12, if you are going to all the trouble of supercharging it, use an SC14. It's not overkill on a 4K, I have used one many times on many standard 4K's. They are not going to be considered fast, compared to a fast car, but they will go about twice as hard as the 4K did on it's own, and also be great for burnouts, and hills. I currently have mine on a 5K and the difference is incredible, but if it's a quick easy and CHEAP solution you are after, just use the 4K, as everything you make/get made can be thrown on a 5K down the track, should one come up. I would also recommend using the same carby as I am now using, a saab side draught, they are the shizzle :jamie: Edited November 21, 2005 by Rolla__Boy Quote
Dan Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Oooo you pushed it too far... na jokes. Probably is a west aussie thing after all, we slowly will pass it over to the eastern states. Bunkys coming to a street near you... :jamie: Quote
5k_ke20 Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Heard of cooner, bounger, thrasher, daily, hack, run about, stocker but never bunky. You west ausies are a intersting bunch. Laters Quote
Dan Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Don't think you've got pine plantations near suburbia over east but over here we also have 'pines bashers' which is a boonger that u take out there simply to thrash the living hell out of. The pines is also where alot of stolen cars and dead bodies end up. A bit of the old Swan River Colony history for you easterns... Quote
NickZ Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 As this keeps going off topic, I'm not going to read it all. Rolla__Boy can you send me some pics of your SC14 on a K motor, Ive fitted plenty of SC12s but couldnt find/make room for a SC14. Also i don't agree with you when you say "I wouldn't bother with the SC12" Why? Will produce 10 PSI of boost all the way to 7000 rpm. Thats heaps for a K motor without spending heaps and thats why we are doing this in the first place coz its cheap. I'm saying that the extra cost, weight and engine drag on the engine wouldnt be worth the trouble of a SC14. Quote
